A Prayer

Oh lord i bow in front of you to pray
I need the strength to continue with this fray 

My hands are folded and my head is down
Please give me hope, i don’t need a crown

i want to sit here because here there is no noise
please give me some peace and do keep me poise(d)
 
this world is breaking apart and there is no one to hold
people cannot feel their own feeling let alone cold
 
i request you to help stop our nonsensical fight
Please make the sun shine to make the darkest corners bright

i hope you are listening i want to believe you are
i just cannot go empty handed after coming so far

everyone is in the middle of the ocean not on the bay
we are sorry we digressed and want you to show us the way
